General Info

If you’re craving authentic Vietnamese comfort food in Port Coquitlam, Mr. Pho at 3331 Coast Meridian Rd is one of those spots that quietly wins you over from the very first visit. This Vietnamese restaurant has a relaxed, welcoming vibe that makes it easy to settle in, whether you’re stopping by for a quick lunch or a laid-back dinner with family.

The menu is thoughtfully put together, offering a mix of classic and satisfying dishes that reflect the heart of Vietnamese cuisine. One of the standout items is the Pho House Special Noodle Soup. The broth is rich and aromatic, layered with depth, and served piping hot with tender cuts of meat and fresh herbs. It’s the kind of bowl you keep going back to, especially on cooler days.

Another dish that caught my attention was the Beef Carpaccio Bò Tái Chanh. It’s light, zesty, and incredibly fresh, with thin slices of beef marinated in citrus that really wake up your palate. If you’re in the mood for something hearty yet balanced, the Chicken Spring Roll Vermicelli is a great choice-crispy spring rolls paired with soft vermicelli noodles, fresh greens, and a flavorful sauce that ties everything together.

For those who prefer plant-based options, the Veggie Salad Roll Gỏi Cuốn Chay is simple but satisfying. It’s fresh, clean, and pairs perfectly with a dipping sauce. Meanwhile, the Grilled Pork & Spring Roll combo brings a bit of everything-smoky grilled pork, crunchy textures, and comforting flavors all in one plate.

What makes Mr. Pho even more appealing is its convenience. The restaurant offers delivery and takeout, which is perfect for busy days when you still want a quality meal at home. If you’re dining in, the space is family-friendly, with high chairs available, making it a comfortable option for all ages.

From my experience, the service is straightforward and efficient, which adds to the overall ease of dining here. It’s not overly fancy, but that’s part of its charm. The focus stays on the food, the consistency, and the feeling that you’ve found a reliable spot worth revisiting.

When browsing local reviews or exploring new locations to eat, Mr. Pho stands out as a dependable choice. The combination of a diverse menu, authentic flavors, and flexible dining options makes it a go-to Vietnamese restaurant in the area.

What customers say?

“ Cosy neighborhood joint that serves the best shrimp salad roll and pho I’ve ever tasted. The broth is clear with complex savory flavors and the noodles are so fresh. Everything I’ve had there is delicious. Even the takeaway is thoughtfully wrapped and well organized. The prices are excellent especially for the quality. It seems to be a family run restaurant because of the care of home-cooked meals they serve, and the warmth of the service. They’re kind. Makes me want to go visit Vietnam. ”

“ Stopped by on a whim and so glad we did! This cozy, family-run spot is clean, welcoming, nicely decorated and serves absolutely delicious food. The noodles were cooked perfectly, the broth was rich and flavorful, and there was plenty of meat—super satisfying. We also tried the viet iced coffee, and it was fantastic. The service was warm and friendly, which made the whole experience even better. Definitely a place we'd come back to if we're in the area again! ”

“ i was pleasantly surprised by this cozy little restaurant. the food was quite nice, pho broth was tasty, rice noodles not overcooked, and there was a generous serving of beef flank. veggies were very fresh. the one quibble i have is that the grilled chicken pieces on my dish arrived cold. staff was very courteous and the lady server was pleasant and friendly. plenty of easy parking. recommended! ”

- Hec Tor -

“ Just enjoyed our early lunch here. Comfortable vibe, amazingly nice server, decent food. Highly recommended. ”

- Rosetta K -

“ Cozy spot, nicely decorated, lovely staff. Food came out quick. Pho was good but I’ve had more flavorful broths and could’ve used a little more meat. Plenty of parking. ”

- JESSICAAA -

“ Small, cozy storefront that punches above its weight. Staff greeted me the moment I walked in, and the dining area feels surprisingly spacious, spotless, and decorated with charming Vietnamese village touches. The phở đặc biệt was the highlight—deep, flavorful broth with plenty of meat. Restrooms are clean, too. Easily one of the best spots for Vietnamese comfort food in Port Coquitlam. ”

- Danny Tram -

“ Noodles were perfectly cooked, and the first five minutes were the best time to consume it. However, I noticed my pho was N8 (steak, tendon, and triple), which looked greasier than my husband’s N9 (steak, tendon, and brisket). Their bowls had a special herb taste, which is very special. Beef carpaccio was the best dish today, and it reminded me of Phnom Peng Restaurant at Chinatown, similar taste but another level of fresh. ”

- Elephant Bea -

“ This is a very good local Vietnamese restaurant. Great pho and vermicelli bowls ….food comes hot and fast ….great service . Cost very reasonable. Under the category of Vietnamese restaurants I give it a 4/5 …. ”
